Austin's Strongest Man See All Times

This is a weekend event whereby we find the ‘Strongest Man’ in
Austin.
· The competition is Feb 22nd – The Heats and Final
· Location for Austin's Strongest Man is at OTL Fitness (5540 B N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX)
· The contest is presented by the ‘Commerce Casino’ based in Los Angeles, California and the winner will get a paid trip for two out to the Commerce Casino – PLUS $2,500 CASH!
· The top 30 contestants will get $100 in cash at the end of the contest for taking part.
· This event will be televised locally.
· Men must come from the city that the event is held in (Austin, TX). Proof of residency is required. Must bring valid photo ID.
· Athletes must complete and sign a waiver to be allowed to compete.

COMPETITION DAY (Sunday Feb. 22):
7 to 8am REGISTRATION ON SUNDAY, 8am to 9am Rules and Warm Up
**ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 7:30 AM**
9:00am Overhead Anyhow (basically clean and jerk/press)
· 220lbs on the bar. 60 second time limit.
· No bouncing allowed at the bottom. Pause at the top each time for referees signal
· No head usage. Multiple attempts from the shoulder to press overhead allowed.
10:15 am - Farmers Walk
· 225 lbs. in each hand for 120 feet
· 60 foot up and turn around a cone and back. Multiple drops allowed only.
· 60 seconds time limit.
11:30 am, Bodyweight Bench for Reps
· Bodyweight on the bar. (nearest 5lbs – eg. athlete is 202lbs. We go to 200lbs. If athlete is 239lbs we go to 235lbs)
· No bouncing allowed at the bottom. The athlete must pause and wait for Ref to shout ‘lift’.
· Pause at the top also each time, with arms fully locked out, wait for referees count.
· No Elbow sleeves or bench shirt allowed. Wrist wraps only. Bottom must stay on bench.
12:45pm, Deadlift for Reps at 405lbs
· 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible
· Athletes may use straps, they must also wait at the top for the Down signal from referee and do a dead stop at the bottom each time.
2 to 3pm Finish of Heats and Lunch and prepare for the FINAL
3:00pm FINAL: Truck Pull
· Harness and rope pull for 75 foot with a 60 second time limit. Unless truck is too light then we use just Harness.
· Or if no truck then Arm over Arm (seated row style) with a pickup type vehicle for 75 foot.
3:45pm FINAL: Deadlift Maximum
· Rising Bar. Opening weight and jumps decided by referee team. Possibly 500lbs, 550lbs, 600lbs, 650lbs etc.
· Athletes may not use straps. If you miss a weight you are out. Each time an athlete has 1 minute to make the weight.
4:30pm FINAL: Log LIFT FOR REPS.
· 275lbs for reps
· 60 seconds to do as many reps as possible.
5:15pm FINAL: MEDLEY - Sandbag and keg carry
· 2 x Sand Bags, 2 x kegs that are between 200lbs and 300lbs.
· 75 Seconds to complete the task. Measurement taken if athlete fails to finish.
6 to 8pm Finish/Clean Up
